This device is an accurate and stable MIDI master clock.
It has one MIDI input and two identical outputs.

What does it do?
A solid stable MIDI master clock suitable for setups where synths and modules respond to MIDI timing clock.
This can be any 2.1mm 9-12v DC power supply 1A+ capacity, tip positive. Not supplied.
Runs nicely off a 9v battery and suitable 9v to 2.1 mm case. Loads on eBay.
Handy for a quick jam. DC power recommended for long sessions though.
Modes - Internal/external:
The switch at the bottom of the unit sets the mode. When the green LED is lit, the device is set as internal i.e. master clock. Background clock is continuously sent out. This is probably the main mode. In this mode the device acts as a standalone clock source, an accurate master for all your other synths and modules. Any incoming MIDI data e.g. playing a keyboard will be passed thru from MIDI input to outputs together with the clock .
When the green LED is off, the device is in external i.e. bypass mode. In this mode the LED display will attempt to guess the incoming tempo. This is just an indication. Incoming MIDI data will be passed thru from MIDI input to outputs. The device generates nothing.
This is used to set the tempo. Pressing it down will send start and stop messages, effectively starting and stopping the clock.
This resets the device.
This shows tempo BPM. The top rightmost segment flashes to the beat. The bottom rightmost segment lights up when clock start/stop is being output. (please note there may a different, smaller knob on the device you receive)
This allows the user to tap out a beat. The device will attempt to lock to the tapped tempo. 3 Taps are required.
The 3.5mm jack can be use to remotely start the clock. E.g. A lead could be wired to a remote switch or a footswitch could be utilized if a 3.5mm to 6.35mm adapter was used.
